Lisa is a food writer and recipe developer who writes about cooking, baking, food, travel, wellness, and grief.

Her writing has appeared in Bon Appétit, Food52, The Washington Post, Eater, Modern Loss, Remedy Quarterly, The Napa Valley Register, and more. She is the editor of the food website Unpeeled, and is also at work on Loss: The Cookbook.

Widowed as a newlywed in 2014, Lisa used writing to help her through her loss, where she developed a particular focus on the intersection of food and grief. She remarried in 2018.

Lisa currently divides her time between Brooklyn and D.C., but is a Philly girl at heart — she takes her cheesesteaks “wit” fried onions, American cheese, and hot peppers.
